So I know there's a whole debate on whether or not to house snakes together (I personally have chosen not to), BUT I was wondering what the rules were on getting them out at the same time?
Both of mine are 4 month old hatchlings, same size, both female and my newest one I will have had for 2 weeks this weekend (long enough isolation perioid?).
I'm basically wondering what would happen if I had them both out in my hands/on the sofa at the same time? Would love to photograph them together and just generally see how they interact.
I guess there's probably still a chance of them going for each other even if they're well fed?
I've seen lots of photo shoots on here of snakes together, and was wondering if they are just used to each other because they live together, or if it's quite normal to get them out to play at the same time?

dunno about corns, maybe slightly less aggressive? but when we had two kings out, (daughter showing off to visitors) the bigger one got the scent of the tiddler and struck and bit silly daughter- snake bits are less than a kitten so no prob for A human been, but if she had got the baby snake...... doesn't bear thinking about really...
two equal size baby corns should be okay, tho i think- thou i'd still err on the side of caution and have two sets of hands at the ready, just in case...... |

Mine seem ok together when i take them out although i am always keeping an eye on the youngest , the only thing that worries me is that i wouldn`t react quickly enough should one of the older ones struck at her. Therefore a little distance is kept between them. |

Like lupi lou said, 3 months, or some people say minimum of one whole shed period, whichever is longer. It's better, because some diseases develop very slowly in snakes.
The first time I tried to take out my two together, Bazilishka was quite aggressive and had even gone into hunting mode, so I tried several months later and they were both fine ( I still held one and hubby the other, just in case ) . If you just watch them carefully, you should be ok :-) |

Having my snakes out for group pics is something ive always wanted to do but never quite sure if its worth the risk so i havent |

regarding islolation period, 3 months is the common amount of time to quaranteen a new arrival. |
