It was only in there about 8 hrs max. I have of course removed it and am now cleaning it. I doubt she is daft enough to use her bowl if it didn't smell good?! |

Posted - 12/10/2012 : 22:24:32 gross as it is.. so long as it's 'fresh' all the 'critters' will be stuff from her own body and safe for her to consume... after a while other 'critters' from her environment will start taking advantage of the 'rich food source' and those are potentially not that great for her...
Clean and disinfect and you're good to go. |

Posted - 12/10/2012 : 22:03:46 A lot of snakes use their waterbowl to help them to defecate. It is quite common for some snakes to do that. As long as you clean it well and rinse it well after cleaning before filling it up and putting it back in it should be fine. |

Posted - 12/10/2012 : 11:01:43 I don't think snakes really care how the water smells - I can imagine it wouldn't smell that awesome in the wild either. I wouldn't worry too much, though, if you've cleaned it out after :) |
