Hey, I've had my corn snake Elvis for a few months now and asked my boyfriend to pick up some bedding and he bought a huge pack of barley straw, I've never used this before so was wondering if it's safe to use? It says on the packet that it has been treated to extract dust etc but want to check its ok before I use it.
Thanks :)

i wouldnt us straw it can be quite sharpe and could potentially cause an injury, its more suited to larger animals. common substrate for corns are aspen and beech chips if you have a look on the care sheet there is a section on substrate that lists a selection which would be suitable. hope that helps
