I have two corn snakes about a month old. Now i feed them frozen pinkies that i have to buy regularly on a weekly basis since no one here sell them wholesale.
NOw my fridge had a little problem and decided to act up. It must have been a few hours but the freezer sorta stop working as it should. The pinkies were slightly soft, not frozen solid as it should be, and had a rather strong smell to them. Im not sure if this was because of what ever was on them when they were frozen or because they have gone bad.

Ive put them back and this morning the smell wasnt as bad but was still there.

Can i still feed these to my snakes? or should they be tossed out?

A reply asap would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Bin Them.
Rodents or chicks, if they start to defrost either use them then or bin them.
Refreezing is a not worth the risk.

Sling them out. Not worth risking a tummy upset.

I agree, a strong smell is not a good thing. It is safer not to risk it.

I would throw them out if they smell, I would not want to risk it.
