hi, my set up came with a heat lamp, and now i am concidering putting in a meat mat instead, (the light going on and off is annoying in the evening). my question is, where does the mat go, i have a wooden viv so im taking it that it goes inside, but what about the substrate, does this go over the heatmat? or do i put he heatmat on top of the substrate. im sorry if this sounds a stupid question, but i am worried about muggle not getting enough heat if its under the substrate. |

If the light is going on and off you haven't got a dimming thermostat, with one fitted the light will dim down when the correct temperature is reached, not turn off and on. |

As above just a thin layer. My 2 like moving the aspen about so they seem to find what they like to lie on. |

Mat goes under the substrate and if your using aspen just a sprinkle on top will be fine  |
