Just wandering if you ahve any advice on how to stop rubi getting behoind the backgriund in the viv? i had solved the problem by putting cardboard/kitchen roll underneith but came down this morning and she had got behind it again. Ive tsaken it out for the time being. Thought about gluing it to the viv but worried about her getting through the cutout where wires are and gettign stuck?

Cornflake does this all the time. It's the first place we look for her when we want to get her out. I just leave her to it. It's annoying but she seems to like it behind there.

I know it is but was the best one i could find for price. Didnt cut the holes out no was told i didnt need to when i asked shope, i take it i was told wrong? that was my concern, ok so its ok just to leave her to do it then?

Bearing in mind that backing is designed for exo terras. I assume first you have cut the holes out for the vents. The problem with glueing it in is you can't then get it out to clean it etc if needed. It really isn't an issue if snake gets behind it if its loose fitting they will be able to push it out anyway.

yes thats what i have got althoguh had to ut down slgihtly as height to big which why not completly tight fit unfortunatly. IM pos just being paranoid. I thought about glueing it on with hoyt glue gun but she could still get up where the wires are and then couldnt get her out if glued. although may be able to block it with summit just dont know what. I assume when gets bigger wont be able to get behind anyeays but dont know how long that will be lols.

I doubt she will get herself stuck i just think it will be a nuisance come feeding day and i have to take everything out to be able to get to her but so far Star has managed to get herself out every time she has gone behind

What sort of backing are we talking about here?
Lozzy Posted - 16/08/2012 : 12:35:49
i am currently having exactly the same problem, i think im going to take mine out till she is big enough not to get behind it just waiting for the lil bugger to come out atm !

Be interesting to see what people suggest..
