Over the last few months I have had 4 snakes have shedding problems and I am beginning to wonder if it could be due to aubiose taking moisture from the air? I never had any problems when I was using kitchen towel or newspaper. Don't want to go back to paper really as its a pain when they get underneath it. |

Posted - 08/08/2012 : 18:33:46 I haven't had any real shedding problems using both aspen and beech chips. I did have to lend a hand with Big-T this morning but that was just due to catching and tearing on the viv furniture.
Try a moist moss box for the next time. |

Posted - 08/08/2012 : 09:47:01 I keep both my young corns on Aubiose, one sheds perfectly every time with no problems but the other has had problems in the past, shedding in pieces. I don't know if this is related to the Aubiose, to solve the problem I just put a plastic tub full of damp moss in to the viv when I know Morse is due a shed. Morse just goes into the tub occasionally and the last few sheds have been in one piece. The tub is then removed until next time Hope this helps. |
