Posted - 13/07/2012 : 13:49:20 It really is worth trying. I didn't think it would work, but got my little non feeder going again using the chick thigh scenting trick. Maybe ask the pet shop to try it before you bring him home again?
I know how you must be feeling. My first hatchling (Falco) didn't eat for the first 4 weeks I had him, and it was such a worry. I moved him into a small breeder box (7x7x7") and covered both sides, back and top with paper. I put in some small hides made from toilet roll tubes (he had coconut hides and they were massive!). After all this he did eat in the end, and it turned out he was just a very shy feeder. Maybe try this along with the chick thigh scenting and hopefully it'll work |
