Gash Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:42:34
All my snakes eat frozen mice but I no I can get a live pinkie as a last resort I don't want 2 do this unless my snake is going 2 die I no a lot of people would b appalled by this but it would only b as a last resort , that's why I wanted 2 know how long it would survive on water alone
NaomiR Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:39:07
hope he's going to be alright? I didn't mean to be rude, I've just never heard of one so little being re-homed without 4 consecutive feeds, but sounds like he's in good hands now so try not to worry
Georgina Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:26:58
i think they can last a little while, try a pinky head first and then you can try a fully pinky 5 days later. if he doesnt take this feed im sure other keepers will have advice x
Gash Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:25:33
Ok I will do that all others snakes never missed a feed even when in blue and about 2 shed any ideas about howvlong she or he will survive on watercalone .?
Georgina Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:19:50
i would seperate the faun in half. they like really small spaces or if you can get a small rub 3l maybe and set him up in there, let him settle and then offer x
Gash Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:15:47
I would b gutted 2 lose him and he died cause he didn't eat
Gash Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:14:40
It's about a foot long by 6 inches wide I will wait a few days and try a pinky head how long roughly will it survive on water alone ?
Georgina Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:13:57
i have noticed that he is a lost and found, you need to leave him 7 days to get his bearings, then offer again. xx
Georgina Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:11:13
ok, you need to up the hot end to 28. you are offering too often your gonna freak the little guy out. leave him atleast 5-7 days, only go in there to change his water, then try and maybe offer a pinky head, warm, but just pop it in and he should find it on his nightly tavels. how big is his viv/rub/tub?
lupi lou Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:09:15

you could try scenting the pinky with a chick thigh heres a how to: http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=21691&SearchTerms=chick,thigh,
might be worth giving us more details too about set up etc
Georgina Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:02:25
not everyone keeps or supplies feeding records i am yet to get a snake with such records.

how long have you had the snake?

what is your set up like?

by the sounds of it you have offered him a few times. for 3 weeks old he should have really only eaten 3 or so times.

go through the entire time you have had him and we can see if we can help xx
NaomiR Posted - 03/07/2012 : 20:58:10
your corn is 3 weeks old and a breeder let you have it? did he/she feed before you collected him/her? you should have got a feeding record of at least 4 feeds with the breeder, or at the very least a rough idea?
