Posted - 03/07/2012 : 19:03:33 Hi guys,
Ive had my snake Dexter since October. Her owner moved abroad and I 'adopted' her. Shes around 4/5years old cornsnake.
She shed in December, April but again in May and June. I feed her 1 large mouse per week. She is 'bread loaf' shape so good body condition.
She weighs 270grams and i havent measured her since I got her when she was 4ft, im sure shes bigger now.
Its really her frequent shedding Im concerned about, is it just a growing spurt and am I feeding her enough?
I hope this all makes sense.
Thanks |

Posted - 04/08/2012 : 17:28:38 Hey, i re-weighed her using a hanging weight scale and put her in a cotton bag. shes around 815grams.
Very bright and eating well, hasnt shed since May but shed today. Her scales on her back are becoming paler, theres nothing in her viv i can see that would damage her scales and its only the ones right on her back.
I took some pictures but i dont know how to post them?! |

Posted - 03/07/2012 : 20:47:39 she doesnt sound very heavy for a full grown snake. she may be shedding due to scale damage, is there any sharpe, or really rough? or somthing with a hole she cant fit through and caught scales trying to get back out again? post some pics in the picture section xx |
