I recently bought another corn snake to keep my other company in the same tank NOT FOR BREEDING PURPOSES. Alot of people frowned upon it because they are male and female(even though i was told they were both female) so i decided to seperate them. Now everytime i come back into my room they are both glaring out of their vivs and acting really aggressive. When i get them out and put them together they stare at each other and then they are fine but my male tries to bite me when i take him away from the other and they wont eat their food unless they are together. Should u put them ack together or not?

Start with 5 minutes handling daily and gradually increase the time as he settles and gets used to it.

if you want to get him better to handle try 5-10mins a day, should calm down after a while

With all due respect you are presuming snakes have emotions like humans, they do not. They do not love you or each other and are perfectly happy alone.

I would tend to agree, snakes don't get lonely and don't need companionship it is more than likely they are just a bit miffed they got seperated before they got down to it ;) I'd reccomend keeping them apart and wait for them to settle which they will after a little while with regular, short handeling sessions.

Hope it all goes well :)

Keeping them apart is the best way to go forward, some regular short handling time with both indaviduly should calm them down.
Maybe try the sock trick and get them used to having your scent around while they forget about each other.
Hope it all works out , sure it will in time.

The behaviour is not abnormal. I bet you wouldn't be happy if you got hauled away just as you puckered up.

You just have to work on regular individual handling sessions to calm them down. The male might just be fired up and probably not eat until hormones get back to normal.

Yes, it would be your fault if they bred but also irresponsible now that you know they are capable. You asked for advice and I suggest keeping them separate.

and they were only cohabitied as i said because i was under the impression that my new one was a female only later finding out hes a boy hense the seperation.

its besides the point their not for breeding if they do breed its my own fault. im more concerned about their behaviour, if they are in seperate tanks across the room from each other why are they acting like this? its only since i seperated them my females gone really grumpy and wont let me hold her but shes not pregnant because shes been checked by several vets and the male has always been a grumpy one but hes never striked at me before.

The first thing is if not for not for breeding why keep two snakes that given the right circumstances might breed together. What will you do if they breed can you cope with the eggs.
It is recommended you read the cohabiting link on the site, I have two corns same sex that co habit happily, but reading the link does make you think and you have to decide ultimatley what is best for your snakes.

If you put them together you run a more than even chance of breeding at some point or other. Unless you are prepared for the hassle, time and cost of hatchies, plus what to do with them.

Snakes do not pine for each other and are solitary by nature except for mating. I'd suggest that you only get them out individually and wash your hands between each handling. Also feed them individually. Putting them together and getting the reactions you mention is only teasing the male.

My suggestion but your choice.
