i am looking at all the stuff i need to get set up and i was just woundering when you do the 4 week clean out do you have to use the special reptile disinfectants the sell or can you just se water etc and that will do? also when you put ur snake back in after the big clean does this mean the 7 day rule starts all over again? i.e. no feeding or holding?

Posted - 01/07/2012 : 13:21:27 We use viv clean by prorep, cost us like £2 from surreypets - it's good for getting stuck on wee and poo off the viv. Sometimes we boil stuff and occasionally bleach stuff and rinse it well afterwards. |

Posted - 18/06/2012 : 21:18:43 DO NOT use any Dettol disinfectant product with reptiles. I have already contacted Dettol Customer Support and it is a NO-NO.
Stick to approved such as the F10 range. Hides can be treated with 10% household bleach as long as they are properly rinsed and allowed to dry. |

Posted - 18/06/2012 : 19:09:01 I use F10 super concentrate, I bought a 100ml bottle well over a year ago, you only need a small drop in a 500ml spray bottle, I use it everyday and thiers still half left. |

Dont forget to rinse thorougly ! |
