i have a 4ft viv and to fill it with aspen isn't that cheap i spot check daily but do i have to change the aspen every 4 weeks?

If u buy aspen in bulk its alot cheaper. Shop near me stocks it in a bail size something like 15kg for under 20 quid that lasted me a year doing monthly changes in a 3ft viv

A full clean out once a month is usually a good idea, yep; just in case spot cleaning leaves behind some nasties!
