I will shortly be getting some hatchies and am currently sorting out their first homes. I have a couple of 9litre RUBs as these seemed a good starting point for homes. My question is this:

Even though the RUBs are small, until I build a shelf/table they might need to be stacked on top of each other for a bit. Is it safe to have a heat mat on top of one rub so a heat mat is under the rub on top too?
Would the bottom rub overheat as it would have a heat mat under it and on top of it? (they will be hooked up to thermostats).

Does that make sense? it does in my head :)

Any help is appreciated.

:) no worries. Now I'm stuck in a mental debate with myself over putting them in RUBs or getting the little Monkfield vivs!

U will find the inconvience of having to move it all daily an reset thermostats will become a pain in the bum.
