Hi I have just today rehomed a 3yr old corn , the previous owner osed a heat lamp on the floor (Fire hazard and danger to snake), i am defo not keen on this but the heat mat doesnt seem to be heating up enough. what should I do, as cant get heat mat till tomorrow if anywhere is open??

Really your snake only needs heat for digestion of its food.... Soooo if it hasnt feed within the last day or two your snake should be fine

may even be better to turn your heat mat off until you get what you need. even if it doesn't feel that warm to us without a thermostat/mat stat it could get a bit warm for your snake. even if you couldn't get what you need till wednesday your snake will be fine. just don't feed him until you get the temp right, you should let him settle in for a week before feeding any way. hope this helps

your snake will be fine for a few days. you will also need a thermostat for the heat mat as well and a digital thermometer with a probe placed with the thermostat probe directly on the mat (27-29 degrees)
