should i leave them on constantly or turn them off to save battery like during the night and stuff?

That the one I've got but i got the one that also monitors humudity

My battery has so far last 9 months and i think they take one of larger watch type batteries so pretty cheap to replace :-)

If its anything like mine yours will give you the lowest and highest temp recording so needs to be left on. They hardly use any battery so its fine left on :-)
