Hey guys this ones probably going to divide opinion lol but im just debateing this myself and wondering if now is the right time to swap my 2 yearling girls to weekly feeds both are taking a hopper each every 5 days and each weigh around 100 grams they are both coming up to a year old so i think they are a good size and weight for their age problem is i dont want to underfeed them and i certainly dont want to overfeed them either so im wondering whats a good rule of thumb re changing the frequency of meals ?

Thanks in advance. Paul

Sometimes rather than having a set 7 days I'll make him wait a bit longer to 8 days, but then a few weeks down the line I'll feed him after 6 days just so its not 100% a set 7 days but still averages at 7 days.

I've always fed every 7 days too. I have both Falco & Orlando on 7 days feeds, and Voldemort is on large mice now, so we've changed his feeding to every 10 days.

Thankyou, that explains it better :-)

Lol - and you posted whilst I was looking things up Mick!!

With Corno I have only gone by the feeding guide given to me by Okeetee Mick, which is pinks every 6 days then double pinks every 7 and fuzzies every 7. I know a lot of people say pinks every 5-6 days, and when I got Ember she was so long and yet so skinny compared with Corno (not necessarily underweight, but Corno is definitely shorter and thicker in comparison - both are still loaf shaped lol!) that I've been feeding her every 5 days. A single pink still leaves a noticeable bump despite her being 5 1/2 months now and a regular good feeder. Corno at the same age had gone up to fuzzies.
