Hey guys it's me again;)
My snake hasn't eaten all through breeding season, 'she' is in a tank by herself so it doesn't really matter, but i'm just curious to know if 'she' is really a she...

i would wait until the snake is about 3 foot long and take it to be probbed, i had mine probe at 2 ft and he was unsure, it was only because they wer opposite that he gave me an answer x

probing and popping are both as accurate as each other, popping can only say for sure male 100% cant guarantee female though, there is no real 100% way to prove until you breed them ;).

So long as popping is done when they are young isnt really a problem.

Just feel popping can cause future problems later on down the line with possible future prolapse was also told that popping is not always accurate we're as probing is.

popping is how i've just sexed my hatchlings and is far from inhumane. didn't seem to bother them in the slightest, takes less than a minute and the snake doesn't have the added stress of being taken away from their environment unlike probing. my hatchlings each had a pinky a few minutes after i'd sexed them,so they wasn't that stressed. agree that popping can only be done on small snakes,so depending on the size of your snake probing could be the only option

i wouldn't have thought their rep guys are that experianced i could be wrong though, as for popping think you can only safely pop when their little hatchies even then it should be done by some one who knows what they are doing.

Do Pets At Home do it by any chance?

The most accurate way to sex them is to have them probed by a professional.
Some snakes can be popped but this is rather inhumane as basically your causing a prelasp when you pop them.
If you do have your snake probe make sure when they smear the probes they use KY jelly and not Vaseline.
Vaseline doesn't break down like KY jelly because its petroleum based it can go hard inside and can sometimes cause the snake to be made infertile.

You can have them probed by a local reptile shop. Just go in and ask them if they will do it for you and I believe a lot of people have not been charge for it.
