i have been looking into snake racks for a while know and i came across this http://www.shelvingsystem.co.uk/
it allows you to design shelving(racks) with mesurements which is ideal maybe a lot easier than making one yourself and only marginly more expensive.
hope it helps :) |

Posted - 26/04/2012 : 21:29:13 that unit looks to be made of yellow pine- a softwood no-no... you would have to coat/treat it with something substantial to make it snakey-safe.... more time effort and cost |

A 103cm wide x 50cm deep x 183cm high 5 shelf unit WITHOUT a solid back board and sides is £217, and that is before you source glass and fittings. It's cheaper to buy 4 LX36 Vivexotic vivs. To be honest, even using a deep bookcase from Ikea would be cheaper for creating a RUB rack. |
