I posted an introduction about a week ago, showing off my new baby corn, Lucius. His week in the viv is now up and I've been taking him out a couple times a day to handle him.
The first couple of times he was very jumpy and would try and shoot off if you didn't support all of his body, or if he saw any sudden movements. He's gotten used to it now though, and he's very calm when being held. His new favourite place is curled up in the sleeve of my hoodie! Yesterday I was handling him while watching TV and he crawled into my sleeve and fell asleep, and stayed there for 2 hours(I was so engrossed in the TV I didn't notice the time)!
I've noticed that when I put him back in the viv after handling, he is very very excited and spends a few minutes just climbing the walls and pushing his head against the sides of the viv. It looks like he's trying to get out again. He calms down and goes into his hide after a few minutes, he's just initially really agitated. Anyone else's snake act like this?
Other than that everything's fine though, gonna give him his first feed tomorrow so we'll see how that goes!

Here's a pic of Lucius enjoying his first adventure out on my bed:

Our neighbours have snakes too (a tree boa, a rainbow boa and a corn) and they tend to get them outside when it's a nice sunny day. I like to give Chops a change of scenery every now and then as he is such a curious little thing, I like to think he enjoys going to different parts of the house!!!

Chops is like this, he's often moody when I first handle him, then he gets curious and wants to explore and then when it's time to put him back home, he doesn't want to go!

Totally the same with mine :)

Whenever I hold Voldemort it's hard to put him back in because he keeps coming out again!

Cute snakeyface! Ara is the same after being handled - has a bit of a fight with the snake reflection he can see in the side of his rub and then explores everything to make sure I've not moved any of his precious stuff.

very nice snake, 8 is often quite active after being handled and likes to check that i've shut the lid properly in an attempt to escape!
