Hi guys,

Slight dilema my OH has snapped a clipy bit off my faun lid and the only thing i have to put galaxy in is a 50L RUB i was going to upgrade her too when she was a little bigger but now it seems i have no choice! what can i do to keep the stress of this as minimal as possible for her? she's 29" long and this is her in the actual RUB she needs to move into...

Thanks Guys

smart bunny thanks, she really does seem to like it in there , she is alot more active in there than she was in her faun and i think she really loving having more folage and more to climb :)

Lol, glad to hear she is OK. Corno is, I'm guessing from the pic, slightly smaller than Galaxy, and she's quite happy in a 3ft viv, so I'm sure Galaxy will be fine in there!!

Update ~ my OH felt bad and went and brought lots of hides and folage for the Rub and judging from Galaxys adventures last night she absolutly LOVES it in there, so im going to leave her now, she just got a bigger home a little earlier than expected :)

ive had to go out so i have left her in the big rub with lots of hides and a blanket to make it a lil less open for her and ill see what she is like when i get home again but may well take your advice a33272 and leave her there she was rather happy with the head room extention when i put her in so hopefully she will be alright but ill continue to keep a close eye on her.

Thank you everyone for your advice and any other comments are more than welcome:)

You could put some paper or something on the sticky bit or just stick a thermometer there.

Tbh looking at pic I'd just move her into the rub

Use two pieces of selotape. Make one bigger than the other and put the shorter one sticky side to sticky side of the bigger one (so you end up with a 'plaster' with two sticky ends and a non sticky middle bit) then put the non sticky bit over the hole and secure it around the edges with more tape. We've done this with our rubs where we've put wires through. Snakeys therefore can't put their nose against a sticky part but still can't get out.

Otherwise I guess lots of hides!

Thanks Lupi Lou, a chip of the lid has come away with it my OH has selotaped the hole over atm, so i have exposed selotape atm

could you put a weight on top of your faun so that snakie can't push the lid off? for the rub you could put in lots of hides and cover so that galaxy feels safe. am sure every one else will have some good sugestions for you.
