I have seen many posts that recommend tubes, such as toilet roll holders and Pringle tubes, as hides for corn snakes. I was gonna try a Whiskey box but it seems to roll about a lot, as tubes tend to do. I am worried about Wilson trying to get on top of it and rolling it over.

Do people secure them and if they do, how?

use cardboard tubes for my hatchlings, they move and it doesn't bother them

Whisky tubes are fine, mine love them. Don't worry about rolling over, it won't cause any harm. My lot tunnel under them and toss them around good style.

Thanks for the replies, they have put my mind at rest and the whiskey tube will go into action tomorrow.

I don't secure my toilet rolls and they do move around a bit but they don't seem to mind.
