Posted - 20/04/2012 : 07:08:30 Generally they are ok, however when harry was a little over 2 ft i put him in a 2ft viv x 1ft, plenty of foliage and hides etc, but he started eating sporadically more often not,he was in there for 5 weeks in total before deciding to move him back into a rub. As soon as i moved him back into a smaller rub he started eating again regularly every week. Its not always the case with every snake, i moved lilly up into the same viv, similar size to harry and she's thrived, just about ready to go into the 3ft viv i have sitting for her to go into. I would suggest using a RUB until you are sure they are big enough for a 3ft or if you move them and they don't like it, stop feeding etc, having a RUB on standby to move them back into. |

Posted - 20/04/2012 : 02:33:35 I myself was wandering when to move Galaxy out her faun, she 29"...but i wanted to get a 3ft to house her for life and she has a fair while till she ready for that:) but generally 2foot would be what you would move go into from a faun:) |

Posted - 19/04/2012 : 22:36:08 I've got my 9 month old (20 inches) in a 2/2/1.5 foot viv and my 5 month old (18inches) in a 2/1.5/1.5, I put the faun in there for a few days, then took the lid off and if they both fed ok after the lid was off I took the faun out (got loads and loads of hides and fun snakey stuff in there). Both seem happy and fine, though that is against the general consensus and is only how my snakes reacted.

Posted - 19/04/2012 : 19:48:00 as long as you have plenty of hides and coverage a snake of that size should be ok in a 2 foot viv |

Posted - 19/04/2012 : 18:55:49 it generally doesn't go on age but the size of the snake, the general rule for size of housing is the length of the snake should = the length and width of the house |
