ive lost talula not happy
she's just recently come out of brumation and i think i didnt close the viv properly when i checked her 2 days ago.
so ive had a good 1 and half hour search but no joy, so i put a couple of water bowls down, a heat mat and 5 hides various places in the room were she escaped and ive made a larger version of a bottle trap (she's + 3.5ft) apart from sprinkling flour have i missed any thing?
hope she turns up soon she was my 1st snake

no my oh and her mum have gone on there jollys and left me n her dad so havent had an oppurtunity
to break wordrobes yet but bottle traps, hides and water bowls have been placed. Ive already told them she
means more to me than there wardrobe so its just a matter of time till things start getting broke!

Any news yet? Have you ripped apart the in-laws new fitted wardrobe whilst they are on holiday?
Blackcat Posted - 21/04/2012 : 09:32:03
Great news you have located Tallula, wishing you luck on a recapture.
smart bunny Posted - 21/04/2012 : 08:21:42
Woohoo, not a capture, but still excellent news that you know she's still in the house and surviving! If your OH's parents are going away then that's good timing - you can set up traps in their room without bothering them!

Positive news, hopefully you will coax her out soon

me and the oh currently live in her mum and dads house and talula is in thier room!
somewere under the (new) built in wardrobe, i know this because i heard an almighty shriek
yesterday while her mum was packing for holiday, and apparently an orangey, red snake slid down the back!
i had a crowbar and claw hammer ready but her mum wasnt impressed! so water bowls and bottle traps have been placed.

Is you boiler upstairs? A friend of my OH has a snake and she lost it for 3 weeks and the plumber came to service the boiler, took the cover off and it was curled up on one of the pipes.
mikeyd_26 Posted - 06/03/2012 : 11:27:53
yeah we have 5 cats and two dogs but we try to keep them from upstairs any way.
i just cant belive its possible to lose a 3.5ft bright orange snake!
im going through each room totally stripping it but still no sign

Hope she turns up soon.

Sounds like you are doing everything you can. When you turn a light on in the room where you lost her, just take a few minutes to stand still and scan the room. You may catch sight of her as she slithers back into hiding.

DO you have any cats or dogs. If you do then they might help you to find her but just be careful they dont harm her in the process
