Schmello all :)

Just thought I'd ask your opinions of Sonny's size

He hatched very early June last year

He's 52cms ish and 50g :)

Is this ok or does he need a diet?

Thanks

Scaly and crew

We have the same problem with Jake. He's pretty much nearly 4 foot long but he doesn't have very much in the way of girth like all the others I have seen on here. The bloke at the local pet shop reckons it's because he is a she?! But I don't know whether he's just saying that? I'm sure he will fatten out soon once he's stopped growing lengthways!

Zeus was born mid September 2011, not sure of length but roughly 40cm and weighs 20g.
Morse is slightly younger, October hatch I think, much smaller, prob only about 35cm long and only weighs 7g.
I worry about Morse loads, but take loads of reassurance from posts off here regards snake weights and growth.
As long as they are eating, pooing and shedding ok I try not to worry.

Corno hatched 31/8/11, not sure how long she is, but only weighed about 17g last time we weighed her a couple of weeks ago!!

i've just weighed 8 and he's 57g and about 50-55cm but he's quite a bit bigger than his siblings

Had the same with Bangle he looked long and thin but seemed to stop lengthenig and started to fill out over the past mth. Growth spurts like a child it seems.
ScalySituation Posted - 03/03/2012 : 20:34:42
yeh i know, he just doesnt seem to be gaining any girth :S

All grow at different rates and all :)
I wouldn't worry too much about them being overweight whilst they're still growing mind, they got a lot of growing to do after all!
ScalySituation Posted - 03/03/2012 : 20:13:36
I was a little worried he was small for his age
