Posted - 01/03/2012 : 20:57:12 Alright guys,
Just set up a viv and getting it running, noticed the temps at 40C! So grabbed out the snake to let it cool down and adjusted my thermostat. Now, my stat is telling me the mat is off and the temp dropped to 25ish. Now the viv is closed again its slowly gone up to 31. What can I do to get these temps down?

Can't believe you still have an N64 set up. I have one in a box at my Mums house I should dig it out. |

But N64 isn't known for overheating and melting, it's 360's :O
Glad its sorted. It's crazy people don't use stats though.
Lol. Maybe putting a stat on a 360 would solve the RRoD problems?
We can only dream! |

I've checked it 4 times and I've got all the plugs where they need to be!
That was funny! literally LOL. Good job u noticed though! |

Well, that just shows you how good that place is to recommend putting a mat on the side of the viv for a cornsnake anyway. They are the numptys lol |

Posted - 01/03/2012 : 21:13:44 Crisis averted. I had the probes and thermostat on the heat mat above the newspaper/aspen.
Plonker of the year award goes to me for having the heat mat plugged into the mains and my thermostat plugged into itself!
Just waiting for it to cool down then hopefully have a comfy snake. |
