Posted - 27/02/2012 : 19:03:49 So the scenario is I'm going to my mums, who lives a couple of hours away from me, for 16 days to look after the dogs while she's on holiday. While I'm away my house mate is going to do my snakes water for me but he's a bit iffy about feeding them, so I'm going to have to go back to mine half way through to feed them, which will be a bit of a waste in petrol.
Do you think 16 days is too long to go with out eating?? I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable leaving them that long without food but I'd like to save myself a trip back if I can! |

Posted - 27/02/2012 : 19:25:52 i wouldnt worry about it at all 16 days in nothing for adults. mine go 14 days minimum between feeds near 4 weeks if shed follows on |

Posted - 27/02/2012 : 19:19:56 The oldest is about 4 years old and the other 2 are about a year old. He could probably do it but he's got a bit of a snake phobia, this whole big bullsnake epic kinda put him off them, he wont change their water if there out and about. lol! |

Posted - 27/02/2012 : 19:09:09 how old are they?? bearing in mind even hatchies can go several months without eating. i think you'll be fine so long as the water is changed regularly. is it really too much to ask to drop a defrosted mouse into the viv? |
