It won't be long til I move my Kingsnake up to fuzzies, and up to now have been defrosting pinkies in warm water for 15 mins before feeding.

Obviously a fuzzy is bigger so I was gonna leave it for a minimum of half an hour, but does anyone have a rough guide on defrosting times for different sizes of mice using the method of defrosting in water?

Well tried 30 mind tonight and seemed fine so will go with that from now on. Vader took his fuzzy brilliantly... so pleased :D

Thanks guys, that's what I've been doing so far anyways with the pinkies to check they're ready. I'll carry on as I am then!

Just gie them a wee tiny squeeeeze that will tell you if they are still solid or not

i do mine until they're squashy when i poke em...


(when totally defrosted any rodent should have a fully articulated spine: if it bends and twists easily at all vertebrae joints then it's defrosted
