does taking photos with flash affect snakes? when i do my snake usually stares at nothing for like 30 seconds.

is it bad, i'll have to stop if it is!

Put a Rizla paper over the flash to diffuse the light. You still get good pics, and the light isnt as harsh.

Has no effect on mine at all even on full power, if your camera allows it you could reduce the flash intensity but I don't bother.
