Hi Guys,

I just bought a 90x45x45 exo terra glass viv and am trying to set it up, my snake is currently housed in a wooden viv so his heat mat is inside but i have seen a few mentions of placing it below the glass when using a glass viv, what is the best thing to do?

thanks

Iv got mine inside an exo terra and has no effect to the glass as of yet! (three or 4 years)

Yeah, leave a gap between the mat and the glass, as it can crack (unlikely though)

you'll also need to raise the glass viv a few millimetres to prevent it from cracking due to the heat

I have mine underneath (mine is glass), as long as you have a thermostat you will be fine
