Hi guys,

I posted my 1st question earlier, asking about the best lighting for my viv, white LED's were suggested, which i will be buying but i read somewhere that red light is good as the snake cant see it and therefore feels more comfortable to move around, is this true and if so would a red LED be suitable?

Thanks

Hey crowboy - I believe that they are also not affected by blue lighting. You can get some very cool LED strip lights on ebay that have a range of colours (interchangable) - I have one, that goes on a natural daylight colour during the...well...day, and then a blue/red (purple lol) at night.

yes

is the short answer lol though it's not quite so good for viewing it shouldn't disturb the snake
