do you think a corn can become stressed and aggressive from being to close to a king snake? ive tried the sock thing handleing lots shes just getting worse flailing about and biting.
we got her a while ago and she was nervous but could handle her ok then. shes become a nightemare and shes bigger than me lol any suggestions please need help. |

if wearing gloves gives you the confidence to handle a snake then the snake will generally be easier to handle because you're more confident and supporting it well........ |

we keep the king slightly cooler the temp is set for the corn.... im going to try moveing her and keep trying the handleing. if i keep getting bit will just have to invest in some gloves. my other 2 corns are no problem proper chilled out. she hasnt eaten in over a month feeding day today will see how she goes. |

The vivs that I currently have against one of my walls are:
2 western hoggies, 1 small kingsnake, 2 boas, 2 adult kingsnakes, 1 milksnake, 1 corn, 3 beardies and a retic.
I see no feeding or temperament issues with any of mine until spring.
It's possibly that the corn is simply being a finicky thing, it may well chill out again soon enough. |

i've kept various different species in the same room and the only one that upset pretty much everyone was the Japanese ratsnake. he was feral and didn't take kindly to being captured after a year on the run and never really settled into captive life, he seemed to put nearly everything else on edge......... |

My corns and king live in the same room, corns don't seem to be effected badly by it and my King hasn't seemed to really noticed the corns as he never bites me when I get him out. Though when its breeding season, I have noticed my female corn when shes ovulating goes hyper, as does my male king and the unknown sexed king. Seriously, one will go one end of the viv and the rest will follow that end in their viv O.o;
You say they are sharing a stat, what temps does it read in the corn and king viv? Corns can get a bit moody when they are too hot, and a lot of people keep their kings are slightly higher temps than corns. |

Yeah I would try moving them.
I've got a king and a corn, king viv on top of my corns and they're fine. But our old hognose went all huffy when we first got our king - wouldn't eat either, had to move him to the other side of the room and then he was fine. |

we dont know the sex of the king will have to have a viv juggle get them apart dont want to have to get rid of her the king is smaller than the corn but not by much, to say kings have a bad rep its much better behaved than her. |

If the King is bigger than the Corn, maybe she is scared he/she is going to eat her?
I would deffinetly say move them apart and see how it goes |

Is the king female and corn male as well??
I've known responses like that because of that mix of corns/kings in close proximity. |

might be hard to do that they share a stat but mite help not feeding them in the same rub if the king is the problem......... if not she might have to go my kids are scared of her have to wait til they arnt around before i can get her out hubby isnt to keen either and the king is his |

i know of many people that keep corns and kings next to each other, myself included. But that is not to say it wont. Would try moving them apart. |
