I've read all the older posts and think I'm ok but would like some reassurance.
I've had my snake for 4 weeks now, he's about 5yrs old. I never noticed the dull eyes or the brightening up again. I did notice though that the last two days when i took him out he was really energetic and last night i had to put him back pronto or he would have squirmed out of my arms so i guess he was ready to shed because this morning was a perfect skin.
My question is, he hasn't shown the slightest bit of interest in feeding since I've had him, how long should I was after shedding before presenting him with a mouse.
2nd question, is it ok to handle him 24 hours after shedding?
Many thanks, this forum is really helpful

Mine has always been happy to eat while ready to shed. In fact it usually triggers him to wriggle out of his old skin when he's been fed.

Mine is in shed now (for the 1st time since I got her) and she took her pinkie fine.
I guess it depends on the snake

mine tend not feed when in shed so i usually present them with a feed the evening they shed and its usually gone without a problem

you can offer anytime after the shed.

handling after a shed is ok, but in your instance i wouldnt be handling your snake until it has eaten.
