Posted - 21/10/2011 : 17:06:56 Ok so having bought River last Saturday I finally get to get her out tomorrow. It's been a long 7 days!! Will give her her first feed too. Any advice about this first handling/feeding?? |

Posted - 22/10/2011 : 17:56:39 Good Luck! So exciting! She'll probably be quick and possibly a little twitchy (Nagini was at first) to handle, just be prepared and try not to be nervous as they seem to sense it! I'd try to make sure the prey item is warm as it makes it easier for snakey to find and more appetizing than cold defrost. |

If you are planning on feeding then I would advise only a very short handling session before hand as you don't want to stress him before a feed.
Handling wise just be as confident as you can. He is likely to be very quick. If he is you could try holding him over his enclosure or a bed in case you feel you may drop him. |
