Hi guys just a quickie my digital scales arrived today so i weighed all the snakes though im not really sure whats considered to be a healthy weight range or what its based on i dont want to over or under feed my snakes so i kinda hoped if i posted the ages and weights if you guys would be so kind to advise me accordingly thanks in advance

All snakes are fed every 5 days Eddie eating hoppers Eve large pinkies Barl newborn pinkies and Artemis small mice

I dont know Eddies DOB only that hes "last years hatchling" so im guessing hes around a year old hes around 20 inchs in length and weighed in at 46 grams

Eve is 3 months old and weighing in at 16 grams

Artemis i bought recently as a yearling and shes weighing in at a whopping 106 grams

Barls 6 weks old and weighing in at 9 grams

When i bought Eddie the rep shop did say that i should expect him to pile on weight over the next few months hes definately bulked up a fair whack since i got him i only wish id got some scales sooner so id known his starting weight

dont worry bout it, we had a yearling that was tiny it fed and shed then went on a massive growth spurt.

Thanks guys thats good to know gmac was just worried by the size difference between Eddie and Artemis shes double his size in both length and weight lol

Snakes are like people they all grow different is nothing to worry about.

Plissken is 4ft long and 480grams. He is 30 months old and has 1 jumbo mouse a week.
Aguna is 13.5 inches and 9 grams. She is just over 2 months old, and on 1 pinkie every 5 days.
Iara is 15.25 inches and 11 grams. Same age and feeding scedule as Aguna.

I have no idea if these weight/lengths are good or not, but it looks like they may be.....

Thats reassuring thanks mamma

It depends on the snake. Romeo hatched june 10, and hes not much heavier than your eddie. Hes a good length. Eats well etc. Thats just how he is. A twig lol. Hes the perfect "shape" etc so hes not underweight.

When i bought Artemis i said to the breeder about her being around the same age as Eddie and him only being half her size and he said its a lot to do with how well they start off feeding etc i dont know how true that is but also watched a video experiment that snakebytes tv did with 3 different hacthlings corns and the differences between them was quite surprising the alrgest was almost double the size of the smallest

Eddie must be younger than that or is just a slow grower. Mine is a June (ish) hatchie, is 19in and only 20g.

Tho i think lengths and weights varies from snake to snake?
