Posted - 30/09/2011 : 22:06:21 well I must say sorry for not having a video of the feeding event....
It did go very well though!
I find my heart was beating quite fast at the thought of just picking Tangee up (it's been a few days), I noticed her coiling up as I put my hand in to get her, I've not had a strike yet so I was a little nervous.
Rather than strike she shot off around the rub, I picked her up quickly before she got over excited and popped her into feeding tub.
This is where it all went not quite to plan, I had my wifes camera at hand ready to record video of a strike and feed.
That was the idea anyway, I grabbed the tweezers picked up the pinkie, I grabbed the camera in the other hand, I dropped the pinkie, I pressed what I thought was the record button, I picked up the pinkie again, nearly dropped the camera. I aimed the camera in the direction of Tangee, I held the pinkie in front of Tangee she had a few sniffs/licks and struck and missed (probably because I jumped), She then struck high and held on, I pulled a little and then released. A couple of minutes and the mouse had gone !!!
It was great... I went to review my footage and I had completely missed the strikes, I did get the mouse going down into her tummy...
Ah well, try again next time.

Posted - 30/09/2011 : 22:09:47 LOL, yeah, the first feed was both exciting and nerve wracking both at the same time. I did Maizie's on Wednesday and didn't manage to get anything recorded so you managed more than me. |
