I dont think people expected you to feed it live, but to kill it beforehand. I would have bought it were my snakes hungry and had the pet shop had none frozen..

I fully understand that some people prefer to feed live but I don't really want to especially as I can buy frozen !.And it does make it very clear on this site that feeding live poses a risk to your snake of injury in captivity so I just didn't want to risk it x Mind you frozen seem to be more expensive in France 7- 5 day old pinkies are 9 euros 95 ! x

that wouldn't have bothered me in the least. a snakes gotta eat, whether its been frozen beforehand or not.

To be honest, its not neccessarily a bad thing. At least you know if there was some kind of frozen mice shortage you'd still be able to get food for your snake.

So basically you are oomplaining that the pet shop had run out of food, so offered you one of the live ones?? The ones that he would sell for more than a frozen??

At least he tried to help you, most places wouldnt.

so would i ... i used to breed dumbo rats as pets, they were so cute and all had unique little personalities ... the fact that fluffys food is already dead and frozen somehow makes it easier

Gosh. So I assume he was offering a live mouse for you to feed your snakes with? Not offering to kill it first? That sounds a tad shady!
