Posted - 28/09/2011 : 10:37:48 i have fed chicks to my corn an rat snakes no problem. phoenix's previous owner fed her chicks all the time. i did read an article where they tested mice vs chicks as snake food and found theres no difference in them. will try and find it later |

Posted - 26/09/2011 : 21:44:27 hmmmm chicks are mega 'cheep' (sorry! ), A&N sell them for 5p each in a pack of 25, or just over 3 1/2p each in a box of 250 - i wish my mice cost that 'much'! :D |

Posted - 26/09/2011 : 21:22:03 Mice are much better than chicks as chicks are higher in fat and I think lower than calcium. Apparently it makes their poos super stinky too |

Posted - 26/09/2011 : 21:18:46 If they are the same price as mice either your mice are very cheap or the chicks are overpriced. I pay 20p (overpriced but cheaper than nice) for day old chicks and occasionally give them to the bigger snakes. Be warned though they stink, they stink on the way in, they stink even worse on the way out. |
