Just wondering, because I can't find anything online about the behaviour of wild hatchies. Most baby snakes and lizards tend to take to the trees to avoid large land based predators; so is this true of Corns?
I'm only asking as both of my hatchlings have coiled up in the juntions of their silk plants where the foliage is thickest, rather than using the hides.
Does anyone else have any experience of this? |

all corns will climb if theres a chance of a meal or if its a good means of escape, and most will climb just for a look :) |

Cheers for the help. These are my first hatchlings (ended up with 2, damn you cheap reptile shows!), and I'm trying to get an idea about their behavior. |

Nagini likes to use all of her faun, both hides (only uses warm after a feed though), climbing up her fake plant and burrowing in the substrate. Very often she will sleep resting at the top of her fake plant though, so who knows? |

Romeo is a climber. He will climb anything that he can whenever he can. He spends more time on his bamboo and in his high up foliage than on the ground of his RUB. |

Hygge has tried both his warm and his cold hide for size over the past couple of days, and is now hidden under his kitchen roll flooring... although he seems to go out exploring and climbing over his plant/wood in the early evenings! |

When we got our Pablo all he ever did was burrow rather than use his hides! I think corns are more known for burrowing although they will climb and explore given the opportunity. Every snake is different though and I guess they all have their own comfy secure places. |

Pretty sure from what ive read that corns are primarily ground dwellers though im sure someone more experianced will help lol
