Hi again all,

I'll just start by saying sorry for not posting pics of Bruce yet. He had his week settling in then we were going to take pics and feed him on the Sunday. When I tried to feed him he refused it (in a separate RUB and in his viv) so I decided he must be in blue and convinced myself he was pale!! I left him alone for another 3 days and tried to feed him again. He wouldn't eat in the rub but he's still a little skittish anyway to cut it short he ate his pinky so I havn't been able to take any pics as he's busy digesting. (I still think he might be in shed mode but as he's amel and I am a novice who knows?!)

Anyway back to the point. This is possibly a really stupid question but I did a load of washing today and as the heating's on for the 1st time this year I thought I'd dry some clothes on the radiators. Bruce is in a small plastic viv sat in a larger aquarium in the dining room where the washing is drying. The rooms a little humid because of the washing will this cause problems for him? I know that having the viv too humid can cause respiratory probs. Like I said this is probably way over the top and daft but thought I'd check.

Welcome! There is no such thing as a silly question at all. :)
I do my washing in the same room as I house my reptiles; Never experienced any problems but that may be because I open all the windows and the back door when the dryer is on, as I cannot stand the smell of humid washing. If there were condensation droplets on the walls of the snake's enclosure then I might worry, but otherwise nothing to worry about. :)

Sorry for the delayed reply. Thank-you guys so much.

As a newbie to cornsankes I just wasn't sure. Better safe than sorry I suppose.

It should be fine. I think humidity wise you only really have a problem with things like RI if it is really high and over a long/constant period.

And it isn't a silly question. Someone else might have been thinking the same thing. If in any doubt always ask.

Not likely to cause any problems unless the moisture is running down the walls but then its going to be causing you some bother too.
