I am very happy with my little Nobby i have had him 4 weeks now..He has had a very milky cloudy belly the last 2 days, and tonight the belly has cleared and his eyes have gone cloudy,so he is definately in shed!!!I have been waiting for this to happen ..I was also not sure about handling him tonight because of his eyes but im happy to say he let me take him out with no problems,no freaking out just his normal happy little self! So now i am shed watch and i am one happy mummy!!

Yeah the next sign after the eyes are clear is a shiny new snake and a shed skin wrapped around just about everything possible (I dont know how they do it).

As for the handling of a snake in blue its commonly accepted to just leave them alone, they are feeling very vunerable as they are pretty much blind and can be a bit snappy though I've never seen this behaviour with any of mine, in fact its one of the few times my Boa isn't snappy, lol.

Shedding times will vary from snake to snake. My wee Woody went from first sign of blue cloudy eyes to full shed in a record 7 days. The average guide is about 7 days after eyes clearing after 'blue'. Only thing to do is keep an eye out for chin/neck rubbing. This is a sign that he's starting the initial skin split.

Good luck, hope you manage to catch the process. It amazes me every time I see it.

Hope you dont have to wait too long!, last shed Kellogs took 9 days from clear to shed, when its done make sure the tail tip and eye caps are off
