Hi guys, well there were issues with my hatchling corn and the shop I bought it from, they were not qualified enough or knowledgable enough, and sold me a corn that wasn't feeding.i have returned the corn and since visited a reccomended reptile shop and bought a lovely 4 month old female Carolina,(for half the price I add),with feeding and shedding records. I have noticed a difference immediately, the snake is more healthy looking, more active and I'm hoping it grows to be a lovely adult, just wanted to share my story with u guys and say that it's a must to buy your reptiles from a reputable source with records!!
Cheers, matt.

Cheers guys, thought it was worth a mention, the shop I got my corn from also had records stuck to every individual rub, and trust me there must have been 150+ rubs. I'll definately be returning there for my 2nd corn...!

Glad your story had a happy ending :-) proper husbandry is so important its the first thing i noticed in the place i bought eddie from was that each snake had its own record attached to its rub and they have a strict policy of making sure each hatchling has had a number of feeds sheds and poops before being sold
unfortunately some places are not so ethical really glad to hear you got a happy healthy snake now :-)

I just hope the one u returned gets the care it needs, it's a shame really as this could of happened to me, we looked at getting one from a shop an tbh the shop was good and the workers there new allot about reptiles but I did some research and the main thing I got told was records fortunately this shop did not have any so I walked out, looked around for breeders and found one not to far from me, this guy was organised he had all the feeding and shedding records on a sticker on each hatchling faurn, he even had a sperate section for the non feeders and made it clear that they where not for sale as he was hand feeding them, at this point I did not hesitate and purchased Fluffy, in the short time knowing this guy the respect I had built up for his honesty, I am sure there is shops out there that will have records but some times the minority spoile it for the majority. I will shut up now lol

Absolutely agree. It's not like you were buying a bag of crisps. Glad you got the matter sorted out and happy with your new pal.

you're so right, you do definately need to check up on feeding and shedding before bringing home etc to make sure your new friend is healthy and happy
