how do you intend to monitor the temps of the water once its in the viv or tub??? and more to the point, how are you gonna change the water temp once its been in there for a few hours?

In all seriousness, it doesnt matter, dont worry about it.

have been keeping the waterbowl midway between the warm and cool end. seems to work. congrats on your new snakey...we've had ours 3 weeks and he's brill!

I just fill mine from the tap and dont worry about the water temp. It will get to room temp regardless so you need not worry. Just dont put the water bowl at the warm end of the tank.
