As the title says...What do mites look like on the snake in a water bowl? my brother thinks his royal python has mites as there were black things in the water bowl floating but we are not sure. any pictures or descriptions will help...Thanks

Compare what you have to the beasty which turned out to be springtail nymphs in this post.
There were also egg-rafts floating on the surface of the water.

A jeweller's eye-lens is handy for identifying micro 'things'. You can have a look and take details like number of legs, body segments, antennae and tails. Make a note and a rough sketch of body shape. This at least gives some idea to help with whether it is mites or something harmless.

Me and my brother have treatedfunk for it any even though my dad doesn't think they are mites but better be safe than sorry
