The reptiliarium is a good shop, Simon the current owner has taken the past 2 years trying to build it back up from what it's previous reputation was like. It's still not brilliant, but he is doing his best.
He's a very knowledgeable and friendly chap, will happily gabber for ages about reptiles, and will also get them out if you wanna closer look, depending on how busy the shop is.
He is a bit of a bugger for doing that, as he tends to do it with the things you're most tempted with. I stopped going in there a while back because otherwise I would've walked out with a V.sexy Albino Lav retic that he had.

The other ones in that sort of direction are Reptiles Plus, based in Bournemouth (southbourne) and Poole. Although the staff might not seem as cheery and happy to talk for as long, and they have a serious flaw in the fact they don't believe that ANY snake needs a stat until it moves into a wooden viv. Their opinion is that "if it gets to hot in the faun, slide the mat out frm under it a bit more". Shame really because aside from that, they are excellent with a fair range of reptiles.
