Hi ive got a year old male corn and ive heard you can put them in the bath in shallow water, is this true? and is it safe to do with my snake? and how warm should the water be?
answers appreciated.  |

If snake is constipated a just warm very shallow bath can help them go, only if you dont mind a snake pooping in your bath!
a lot of snakes freak out in the bath, Kellogs kinda enjoyed it, he could get out if he wanted, but chose to go in the water |

as kdlang said above ^^ though if you're using a bath or wash basin make sure you block off the overflow to prevent escape and NEVER leave snakie unattended

Corns don't generally need bathing and it can cause unnecessary stress. Sometimes it can be done to help with certain health issues but isn't always required. On the few rare occasions I have had to bath any of mine I have used a plastic storage box rather than the bath to avoid any possible contamination with soaps. The water is about half as deep as the snake and I usually have it around 29oC monitored with a digital probe thermometer. |

It's only worth bathing/soaking them if they are a very bad shedder, or are covered in poop that won't come off with damp kitchen towel. Otherwise, not needed. |
