i dont come here as often as i should. a few people will remember me :)
my snake cassius has just turned 1 so i thought now was a good time to give a quick update and say hello
well cass is just amazing! i havent had a single problem with him. he has eaten everything i have put infront of him ever since i have owned him - even when hes in shed.
for those of you who remember me, i had a few troubles convincing my wife to let me have a snake as we had 1 year old son and my wife was pregnant with our second.
she really loves cass, as does our eldest who is now 2 years old. cass is a wonderful pet, a real member of the family.
he is and always has been very calm and gentle. i really couldnt wish for a better snake.
hes grown well and i feel like he has his own personality which i have come to know well. he continues to be a source of amazement to all the family.
big thanks to crazy JJ and all on the forum for the help and advise :) i would love more snakes but we REALLY dont have the room. i have to keep telling myself that!

will definitely get some pics up soon - i swear he gets prettier every time he sheds!
at last measure about 2 weeks ago (using snake measure tool) he was 62.3 cm long. i need a new battery for my digital scales so im not sure how much he weighs right now.
he hasnt struck fed yet, he likes to take his time, have a little nuzzle before swallowing. im fine with that but if he ever does strike i will jump out of my skin!
ps the dogs great too - still crazy :) |

woo! glad to know he is doing ok, i do expect pics though be big trouble if i dont see any (do apologize if you have already put some up, havent got that far)
shame you havent been able to persuade ya wife for more (am hoping to breed some more snakies next year ;)) but i suppose you have got plenty of time. |
