Sid, our adult male corn, went through his usual breeding fast from march to may. Usual behaviour of very very active and not feeding. In june this behaviour changed back to his usual lazy self of eating and sleeping. However over the last 3 weeks he seems to have gone back into breeding mode. Very very active again and not eating. Is this normal? His only ever had the one breeding fast each year before.

It could be the other snakes. Can you put him in a room with no other snakes? I had probs with Griffin non feeding for 9 weeks but he since has started feeding....well except today haha. I have put his down to breeding season though as now hes ok. Merlin however has had to be put in a room with no other snakes as he started non eating and becoming very aggressive.

Trying to answer this myself as no one else seems to know lol. Could the fact that there are now 4 other snakes in the room with him be the cause? I dont know the sexes of four of them but its likely there is at least one female amongst them. Could he smell them and if one is a female would it cause him to go into breeding mode for a second time?
