Hi all- just after a bit of advice. I have had my adult corn for a week now and have allowed him to settle in only going in the viv to change water and feed him. I'm keen to start handling him but am unsure when to. The main problem is that he always seems to be in one of his hides and i know you should't get him out of his hide.

Whats the best thing to do?

There is no reason not to get him out of his hide. For some people, if they waited till their snake came out, they would never get to handle them.

Just lift the hide and, without hesitating, pick him up. He may not be overly impressed and try to get away, but once he's out he should settle down.

Remember not to handle him for 48hrs after feeding to prevent regurge.
