Posted - 22/07/2011 : 11:31:40 I'm intending on fitting out two viv's with led lighting and really like the white/blue combination as used by 'Dam' above. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent ebay supplier? Is it necessary to get dimmable lights or would they be okay at 'normal' intensity?
'Dam' mentions that he has them on a double switch, presumably this means he has both strips wired into one unit/power supply? I am a bit of a numpty with all things electrical is this something that is easy to set up?
Any suggestions welcome

Posted - 12/07/2011 : 21:58:29 I have a colour changing led bulb in my viv that I use at night as it is dimmable. I usually have it set to red but it looks good on blue too, a kind of cool moonlight effect. |

Posted - 08/07/2011 : 19:53:23 I bought some LED lights today ready to go in with my corn and hognose. They were super cheap and have a funky triangle shape so they'll look cool once they go in. |

Posted - 06/07/2011 : 19:20:17 cheers for that, ive just rehoused casper to a viv as he seems to be lost in the little plastic faun. we first had him in the viv but were told why not to. he has been fine in the plaggy cage but i think now is the right time for him to move up to a adult size. he his about 2 and half feet in length and on three fuzzies a week, next step on small mice. any comments would be great. |

Posted - 06/07/2011 : 18:58:04 Yup. LED lighting is the best in my opinion. I use it, so does a33272 (another member on here) and a few other people I believe. It's ow powered with a high output, yet gives off practically no heat. LED bulbs/lighting are the only type of bulb or light that I would say doesn't need a guard either, all others you do. |
